About Our Pastor

Bishop, Apostle Timothy D. Monigan is a native of Mobile, Alabama. He received his biblical training at the Phillips Temple A.O.H. Church in Mobile, Alabama under the tutelage of the late Bishop James E. Finley D.D., Dean of Education. He finished top of his class and received the school’s highest award at graduation. He was appointed National Evangelist of the Apostolic Overcoming Holy Church of God (AOH) and traveled extensively throughout the United States preaching the Gospel of Christ that spiritually impacting the Country. In 1984, God called Apostle Monigan to ministry of pastorship and he established the Tabernacle of Praise Church in Richmond, CA. Under his leadership, the Tabernacle of Praise Church was successful in providing community services, established a Feeding Program, Clothing Program, an informal Substance Abuse Program and facilitates an enriched Youth Summer Program, which had become a haven for many young people. This ministry received several awards from the City of Richmond for their continued commitment to community services. He has received a Doctorate Degree and presented with the Humanitarian Award which recognized the outstanding work that he and the church provided throughout the City of Richmond and surrounding areas. He has served in the Bay Area for more than 35 years. His outstanding achievement also afforded him recognition in the 2005-2006 Edition of the Who’s Who Of America Apostle Monigan is the author of three books: “It Is God That Gives Us Power To Get Wealth”; “When I Would Do Good”; and “The Power Of Prayer” In addition to being an author, he has recorded a powerful CD entitled “Let God Be God”. The Lord has allowed Apostle Monigan to continue to spread the Gospel of Jesus Christ Nationally and Internationally. He has shared this great message of Jesus Christ on mainstream networks such as, Trinity Broadcasting Network (TBN); The Word Network, and The Impact Network. In May 2014, Apostle Monigan established Tabernacle of Praise Church in Mobile, Alabama, where he’s the Pastor and Presiding Prelate. Today, the Tabernacle of Praise United Churches organization has enlarged itself and growing with fellowship churches under its umbrella; which geographically spreads throughout varies states and regions of the country. Apostle Monigan continues to be steadfast in the work of the Lord. He stands on this assurance that “ALL YOU NEED IS THE HELP OF GOD” and that “THERE IS NO GREATER POWER THAN THE POWER OF FAITH IN GOD” as he changes the world with the word.
