Bishop, The Apostle Timothy D. Monigan is a native of Mobile, Alabama. Apostle
Monigan was saved at the age of 12 years old and was called to proclaim the gospel
at the age of 14 years old. He received his biblical training at the Phillips Temple
A.O.H. in Mobile under the tutelage of Bishop James E. Finley D.D., Dean of
Education. He completed his terms and received the schools highest award. At the
age of 18 years old, Apostle Monigan began the work of a National Evangelist. He
traveled extensively throughout the United States conducting revivals and
spiritually impacting the people of God through anointed and profound messages.
In 1984, Apostle Monigan responded to another call and commitment in ministry.
Surrendering solely to the will of God, the Tabernacle of Praise Church was
established in the city of Richmond, CA.
In addition to the anointed deliverance services and Biblical Training Institutes,
they have also been successful in providing community services. Tabernacle of
Praise has established a Feeding Program & Clothing Program, an informal
Substance Abuse Program and facilitates an enriched Youth Summer Program,
which has become a haven for many young people. This ministry has received
several awards from the City of Richmond for their continued commitment to
community services.
In 1990, Apostle Monigan united with the Apostolic Assemblies Fellowship of
Mobile, Alabama where Sr. Bishop James E. Finley serves as Ecclesiastic Prelate.
Through dedicated and faithful services, he came through the ranks of several
positions and served as Assistant Bishop of this organization for 24 years.
In 2004, Apostle Timothy Monigan served on the examining board as a member of
the Sacred College of Bishop’s during a citywide inaugural celebration. He served
with co-consecrators, Bishop Brian K. Williams, Bishop Cynthia James & Bishop
Randy L. Borders.
The Apostle’s has served many dedicated years to the work of the ministry and
faithful community services, he has earned and received numerous Honorary
Doctorate Degree. His outstanding achievement has afforded him recognition in the
2005-2006 Edition of Who’s Who Of America. The Apostle’s credits include several
awards as well as the authorship of (3) books entitled:
1. It Is God That Gives Us Power To Get Wealth 2.When I Would Do Good 3.The
Power Of Prayer
Gifted with the ministry of music, Apostle Monigan shares the CD release entitled
“Let God Be God”. This recording is not only a display of his anointed preaching
but it also dictates the traditional flavor of Ole Time Gospel Music. In April 2007,
The Apostle was afforded the opportunity to ministry at the Voice of Deliverance
Ministries in Nassau, Bahamas where he delivered to powerful sermons entitled:
“When the Lord sees” and “What happens when you deny God his praise.” These
services were taped and televised on the Word Network and TBN Network.
In May 2014, Apostle Monigan once again surrendering solely to the will of God,
organized and established the Tabernacle of Praise United Churches & Tabernacle
of Praise Church in Mobile, Alabama. The Lord has blessed Apostle Monigan to
currently pastor 1 church in 2 locations: Richmond, California and Mobile,
Alabama. Today, we are enlarged and growing with 20 participating churches
under the umbrella of the Tabernacle of Praise United Churches, which
geographically spreads through California, Texas, Alabama, Louisiana and Florida.
He continues steadfast in the work of the Lord standing on this assurance that
“ALL YOU NEED IS THE HELP OF GOD” & “THERE IS NO GREATER
POWER THAN THE POWER OF FAITH IN GOD” as he changes the world with
the word.
